Honesty

How We Make Money

A short honesty note from James Morrow — the same writer named on About.

This page is a funding note, not a route guide and not a substitute for the affiliate disclaimer. It stays indexable so you can read the money story without opening a legal leftover.

Amazon Associates

Art of the Travel is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Some packing and gear links on this site go to Amazon. If you click one and later buy, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those links use the Amazon Associates tag artoftravel06-20. That is the only Amazon tag this desk uses.

The full legal wording lives on the affiliate disclaimer.

Booking-platform affiliates

Some train, stay, and experience links use booking-platform affiliate programs already listed on the live affiliate disclosure. A commission does not change the fare, the timetable, or whether I mention a downside.

Display advertising

Pages may also show standard third-party display ads (Google AdSense), as listed in our public ads.txt file. An ad next to a route guide is not an endorsement of the advertiser. I do not publish click, impression, or revenue totals here.

What that does not buy

Affiliate income and ads do not set which routes I write about, how I assess a journey, or whether I mention a downside. I do not run a test fleet or invent first-hand lab tests to justify a packing note. See the editorial policy.

What this site is not

Art of the Travel is a publisher, not a merchant. Public pages use the James Morrow name already on About. I do not invent a second person, a test fleet, or a different Amazon tag.
